The
Mani Mahesh Kailash peak(Shivalinga) has a world wide significance
for the followers of Shiva. This hiking route is equally popular
among the trekkers as well as the Hindu pilgrims because of its
association with Lord Shiva.
Mani Mahesh Peak is located 17km from hadsar. It is also called
Chamba Kailash. The peak is 5486m above sea level. The pilgrimage
to Mani Mahesh is called "Man ka Mahesh" because it provides
one with spiritual satisfaction after viewing Mount Kailash and
taking a holy dip in the lake. The Mani Mahesh Yatra begins on Krishna
Janmashtami and concludes on Radha Ashtami every year. We have two
treks for this peak from Dharamsala.

Dansar Lake is one of the highest lakes in Dhauladhar. It is located
at an elevation of 4250 Mts. on the foot hill of Ghora Lotnu Peak.
This lake like other lakes of Outer Himalaya is held very sacred
for the local people. This trek is one of the finest treks that
passes through very scenic places and valleys of Chhotabhangal;
the tribal region of Himalayas .

The Dhauladhar deserves a special mention for its high altitude
glacial lakes which have mythical backgrounds and are considered
extremely sacred by local residents, who make pilgrimage to these
lakes during the monsoon and post monsoon season: These lakes are
considered to be the abode of, Lord Shiva. Lam Dal is at an elevation
of 3900 metres and approachable from Minkiani Pass (4250 metres}.
This lake is the largest and the deepest in the area with a circumference
of about 2.5 Km.


SEVEN LAKES OF DHAULADHAR TREK (trip code: TSD)
Himachal
Pradesh the heartland of Gaddis(Shepherds) has sacred glacial lakes
in its core. These lakes are considered to be the abode of Lord
Shiva and serves as reservour of water supply to the regions below
Dhauladhar Hills. The most prominent among them is Lamdal at an
elevation of 4200 m and circumference is 2.5 kms. Follow us to explore
